From its early beginnings, the Group has sought to address the challenges faced by ordinary South Africans. Key tenets of ESG have been embedded in our values since the 1970s and we have long been informed by the fact that doing good is good business. Globally, ESG reporting has recently taken a significant step forward, accelerated by investor interest. The Pick n Pay Group has embedded ESG objectives into our strategy and achieving these objectives forms a critical part of how we define our success.
